Pet Portrait #82 – Gizmo

I spent most of this weekend working on a portrait of a sweet mix named Gizmo. He was someone’s best friend, and he passed away last year. I hope his portrait brings joy and happy memories to the home of those who loved him. If you’d like to give someone a pet portrait this holiday season, time is running out. A perfect Sunday

I had a perfect Sunday, completely by accident, of course. The sun was shining through the windows, filling my studio with that gorgeous light for painting. Chicago skyline at dusk

Most of my time is spent whipping up portraits of your four-footed friends, but every now and again I get a commission for something else. Something less…furry. I’ve been working extra long hours this week to finish these four portraits before I jet off to Seattle for my granny’s 90th birthday party. Happy pre-birthday Grandma!
